Sunday March 20th, 4-6pm
Join us in a ritual of collective daydreaming inspired by Octavia Butler’s
Parable of the Sower on the vernal equinox of 2022
Together we will tune our attention to the place and time we find ourselves
suspended in the sonics of Apaixonar
crafting daydreams with foraged plants, found objects and cut-up text
wandering into each other’s daydreams
scored by the improvised sounds of Virago
This is a free event, with registration. Masks and proof of vax or negative test results required for entry.
Notes about accessibility:
The Ypsilanti Freighthouse has a wheelchair ramp on the north end of the building. There will be light projections, at times moving quickly or oscillating from bright to dark–it is our hope that the visuals do not have a strobe-like effect, but people with sensitivities should be aware. Spoken portions of the program will be conducted in english language, complemented with some written materials (also in english) and visual prompts to help guide engagement. If you have any questions or special requests, please email:
