Join us in a basket! Picnic Basket is a 33-minute composition woven of the sounds of 23 solitary picnics that occurred on November 23rd, 2014 separate in space, together in time. The weaver, Emily Gustafson will debut her composition twice (4:00 & 7:30) with live accompaniment by sound artist-musician, Adam Pierce. We invite you to enjoy these foreign and familiar sounds within a changeable landscape of light and shadow.
Between performances, step into Dr. Ladybear’s office where she will write your valentines to loved and difficult ones. She is a psychic-psychoanalyst, a doctor of letters, master of feelings, with a care for the world. She looks forward to working with you and your heart feelings.
Bring your loneliness, your dreamiest dreams, your disgust with the whole thing, your friend, your lover in whatever combination and let’s make this a Valentine’s Day to remember.
